Prior to starting MCCLARD LLC, I worked in several different groups at Intel Corporation. The chart above illustrates the range of design, research, and related activities I engaged in while there, and include:
- Foundational research: typically broad explorations of domains with both strategic and tactical outcomes for multiple stakeholders, using combination of qualitative and quantitative methods
- Landscape research and analysis
- Design research, including rapid prototyping, participatory design
- Requirements gathering and development based on research
- Persona Development with key stakeholders based on research
- Collateral Development–durable takeaways and posters for aiding design team in internalizing research findings
- Usability testing throughout the product lifecycle, multi-method depending on stage and platform.
- Brainstorming and IP generation sessions
- Product development
